HBD expands with second phase of the Quad

Construction work has completed on the latest phase of HBD’s Butterfield Business Park, doubling the size of the scheme and providing a further 82,000 sq. ft. of industrial space for local occupiers and SMEs.

HBD submitted plans for a second phase of The Quad in 2020 following high demand for the first 10 units, which completed in 2019. Demand for additional space drove the decision to develop a second phase on a speculative basis, which will now provide an additional 5 units from 10,000 – 25,000 sq. ft.

Jonathan Boddington, Associate Development Director at HBD, said: "Quad 2 was completed in July 2022, with all five units either pre-let or pre-sold prior to Practical Completion demonstrating the demand for high-quality industrial space in Luton. It’s great to see Butterfield taking shape and to be able to welcome new occupiers to the scheme, providing businesses with the space they need to grow in an attractive landscaped environment. We look forward to welcoming further occupiers to the Park in due course."
